Gotta Love It…Pizza for Dessert!
January 25th, 2016
It’s Chocolate Lovers’ Month (isn’t it always?), so celebrate with some inventive ways to turn Rustic Crust pizza into a fabulous dessert.
We’ve done a little research and came up with these dessert pizza variations you can test drive this month.
- Chef Guy Feiri is our kinda guy – he came up with a S’Mores Pizza Recipe to die for. Use our Crispy Thin Crust, and all you’ll need are mini-marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, slivered almonds and (believe it or not) chili powder and cayenne pepper. It’s a winner! Sweet, salty, and perfect for a crowd of chocolate lovers.
- Create a work of art, by using a thin layer of marshmallow spread atop your canvas (use your favorite Rustic Crust variety) and decorate with tiny chocolate chips or other candy. Make patterns, pictures – let your imagination soar as you create a masterpiece!
- Feeling adventurous? Check out this recipe for Chocolate Tiramisu Pizza, courtesy of Rachael Ray. It’s not every day you tackle a recipe that calls for mascarpone cheese and brewed espresso, but then again – it’s the month to indulge that sweet tooth, so go bold and go for it!
- We’re not sure why this recipe is called “We Need to Talk Chocolate Pizza,” because we won’t be doing a lot of talking once this baby is served. The list of toppings says it all: milk chocolate chunks, white chocolate chunks, mini-marshmallows, banana slices, peanut butter, and M&Ms. ‘Nuf said. And we recommend using our Organic Great Grains for the crust – you’ve got to get some kind of healthy item in there somewhere.
The fact is, any of our crusts would be the perfect launch pad for a dessert pizza. You’re only limited by your imagination and your ingredients. Indulge – and enjoy!
